According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s office, a woman, with her 6-year-old daughter in the back seat, drove her 1999 Chevy Malibu eastbound on Bergin Road when she allegedly lost control of her car and it rolled over onto the roof. Both mother and daughter were taken to University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor to be treated for serious injuries.
I cannot stress how important it is for parents to use car seats, booster seats, and seatbelts for children passengers in their vehicles. The injuries that a child can suffer because these safety measures were not implemented are often catastrophic.
