Lead Poisoning Lawsuits Filed June 2, 2009
Our Michigan child lead poisoning lawyers have recently filed a number of lawsuits on behalf of lead poisoned children. The children were poisoned due to peeling, chipping, and flaking lead-based paint hazards in homes rented to their families. Claims were made against the landlords for failing to properly maintain the painted surfaces in the homes and the failure to comply with state and local laws.
The lawsuits seek money damages for injuries suffered by the children, which include learning problems, behavioral problems, and other injuries. Lawsuits were filed in a number of Michigan counties, including Wayne County, Kent County, Muskegon County, Kalamazoo County, and Calhoun County. The settlement results of these cases will be reported at a later time.
