Two Million Drop-Side Cribs Being Recalled Due To Infant Safety Concerns June 24, 2010
Our Michigan child injury lawyers are reporting that drop side cribs manufactured by from Evenflo, Delta Enterprise Corp., Child Craft, Jardine Enterprises, LaJobi, Million Dollar Baby, and Simmons Juvenile Products are all being recalled. All together, more than two million cribs were recalled. The safety concern is that the drop-sides of the crib could malfunction or detach from the crib posing a serious threat to an infants safety.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) , there have been no deaths linked to the recalled cribs, however, there were more than 250 reports of drop-sides detaching or falling and at least 16 entrapments of infants. Anyone with these dropside cribs should stop using them immediately and call the manufacturer for repair kits to immobilize the drop-side or information to make the cribs safer and more secure.
